Why DogeHub Budgeting exists
Most budgeting falls apart for one of two reasons: it is too complicated to keep up with, or it only tracks what already happened without ever helping you plan ahead. DogeHub Budgeting is built around a short, repeatable monthly routine instead (Plan, Track, Review, Adjust), so each month gets a little more realistic than the last.
The monthly routine
Four simple steps, repeated every month.
Plan
Set expected income, spending priorities, and monthly limits.
Track
Record income and expenses as the month progresses.
Review
Compare what you planned with what actually happened.
Adjust
Use what you learned to improve the next month.
A concrete example (JPY)
Say you plan a month like this, then compare it to what actually happened:
| Category | Planned | Actual |
|---|---|---|
| Needs (rent, utilities, groceries) | ¥180,000 | ¥185,400 |
| Wants (dining out, subscriptions) | ¥40,000 | ¥36,000 |
| Savings | ¥30,000 | ¥30,000 |
Next month, the Needs limit gets adjusted up slightly to match reality. That is the whole loop.

DogeHub Budgeting is manual by design, for now. Bank credentials are not required; entries are typed in, which keeps the Track step an active habit instead of something that happens invisibly in the background. See the full comparison in our manual-vs-bank-sync guide.
