This Privacy Policy describes how DogeHub handles information when you use DogeHub Budgeting.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name to identify your account.

Budget data you enter, including amounts, categories, and dates, is stored to provide the budgeting service.

Basic usage information (pages visited, session length) may be collected via Google Analytics to help improve the service.

If you choose to set an optional username, it (along with an automatically generated friend code) is stored to identify you for an upcoming Friends feature. Your email address is never shown as part of this public identity.

DogeHub stores in-app notification history (e.g. account notices and, in the future, updates from Friends, Budgeting, and Gamification) along with your notification preferences, so we can show you relevant updates and respect your settings.

How We Use Your Data

Account information is used solely to authenticate you and operate your account.

Budget data is stored privately and is not shared publicly or sold.

Usage analytics help identify issues and guide improvements to the service.

Third-Party Services

Advertising, if enabled, is used only on the Resources hub's guide articles, and is not shown on the homepage, the Resources hub itself, inside the private budgeting workspace, on the budgeting landing page, or on this Privacy Policy page. Each third-party service below operates under its own privacy policy.

  • Google Analytics

    Used to collect usage and performance information, such as pages visited and session length, to help improve the service. Google may set cookies to track sessions and page views.

    You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

  • Google AdSense

    Google AdSense may be used on the Resources hub's guide articles if advertising is enabled. It is never shown on the homepage, inside the private budgeting workspace, or on legal/utility pages. Where enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

    You can manage personalized ad preferences via Google's Ads Settings.

  • Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net)

    Fonts are loaded from Bunny Fonts, a third-party font CDN, to render the site's typography.

Cookies

This site uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser.

  • Essential cookies: Session and CSRF cookies set by Laravel are required for the app to function and to keep you logged in.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics may set cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to measure usage patterns.
  • Advertising cookies: Google AdSense may set cookies to measure ad performance and serve relevant advertisements.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies are required for the logged-in app to work correctly.

Data Sharing

Your budget data is not shared publicly and is not sold.

Third-party services on this site (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may receive limited data as described in their own privacy policies.

Any DogeHub user can be found by other users through an exact username or Friend Code search only. There is no public directory or user listing, and no partial or fuzzy matching. A username is only searchable once you've set one. DogeHub stores the friend requests and friendships this creates. Your email address and all budgeting data always remain private and are never shared through Friends.

Data Retention

Individual budget entries are kept for a limited retention window (currently 24 months). After that, a monthly job summarizes the month into per-currency totals and removes the underlying entries; if any currency on your account is still unconfirmed for that month, that month is skipped until you resolve it. As described in the User Agreement, this is a beta service and data practices may change.

You can export your data at any time from your profile, and deleting your account permanently removes your budget data along with it. See the Security page for details.
